YASB Cloud

Terms of Service

Last updated 2 August 2026

These terms cover YASB Cloud, the paid backup service for YASB. Using it means you agree to them. YASB itself is free and open source, and nothing here applies to it.

Who you are contracting with

Payments for YASB Cloud are processed by Paddle.com Market Ltd, who act as the seller of record - your purchase is with Paddle, and their buyer terms apply to the transaction.

What the service is

Backup, versioning and restore of YASB configuration files. It is not general-purpose file storage, a sync service, or a backup for anything other than your YASB setup. Using the storage quota for unrelated data is grounds for suspension.

Your account

Plans, limits and price

Each plan has limits on storage, on how many backups are kept, and on the size of a single backup. They are listed on the plans page and enforced by the service. We may change limits or prices; if a change affects an existing subscription we will email you at least 30 days before it applies, and you can cancel before then.

You cannot move to a plan smaller than what you are already storing. If you are using more space or holding more backups than the smaller plan allows, delete some first. We never delete backups to make a plan fit.

Billing

Refunds

Ask us and we will refund you. Within 14 days of a payment you do not need a reason - write to us and we will refund it in full. If you are in the EU or the UK this is your statutory right to withdraw, and nothing here reduces it.

After 14 days, tell us what went wrong and we will sort it out. Three things we always put right: if you were charged twice for the same period, we return the extra payment; if you were charged after cancelling, we return that payment; and if the service was unavailable for a stretch you had paid for, we refund that time.

Refunds are issued by Paddle.com Market Ltd, who took the payment as seller of record, and go back to the card or account you paid with. It usually takes a few working days to appear. To ask for one, use the contact page and mention the email address on the account.

You do not have to cancel to ask for a refund, and asking does not cancel your plan - tell us if you want both.

What happens when a subscription ends

Availability

We aim to keep YASB Cloud available at all times, but we do not offer a guaranteed service level. It may be unavailable for maintenance, upgrades, or reasons outside our control. Where maintenance is planned we will give notice on the service.

Keep a local copy of anything you cannot afford to lose. YASB Cloud is a convenience for moving a configuration between machines, not the only place it should exist.

Acceptable use

Do not use the service to store unlawful content, do not attempt to reach other people's data, and do not try to work around plan limits or overload the service. We may suspend an account that does, and will say why.

Liability

The service is provided as it is. To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for lost data, lost time or lost profit, and any liability is limited to what you paid in the 12 months before the claim. Nothing here limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited.

Ending it

You can delete your account at any time; that removes your backups immediately. We can end an account for a breach of these terms, and except in cases of abuse we will give 30 days' notice and a chance to download your backups first.

Contact

Use the contact form. It reaches the same place an email would, and it does not need an account.
